Established in 2018, the Snug Bookshop and cafe has survived, despite the toughest of circumstances. A  Public and School Librarian for many years, female founder and owner Sam decided to follow her dreams and opened her very own Independent Bookshop in December 2018. The Snug Bookshop was a lifelong ambition and finally became a reality after months of personally renovating a derelict Grade 2 listed building. An Independent Bookshop is about so much more than just selling books. Sam’s passion for all things story, author and book related is evident in everything she does at The Snug.  It is Community lead, community driven and a safe space for everyone.  After the devastating storm of 2021 destroyed the roof of the old building, The Snug Bookshop can now be found in it’s new home in Huish Epsicopi, Langport, Somerset.  The Bookshop is thriving, and the future looks promising!

“Great customer service when I popped into this shop for a Harry Potter book for my niece. She was delighted with it. Will be returning for other books. Many thanks for all the time and trouble you spent helping me!”

“Great book selection, great atmosphere, great people, great place! I would highly recommend this book shop/café as it is one of my new favourite places”
