No matter how your book has been published, whether it is self published or traditionally published, marketing that book is a minefield – and approaching Bookshops to stock that book is tough. Spend one hour with Bookshop owner Sam to learn the basics about the industry and some of the best ways to promote and sell your your book.
In the 1 hour slot the following will be covered:
- How to approach Bookshops
- Publishing terms debunked
- Basic Social media tips
- Marketing strategies – such as newsletters, author events, the difference between PR and marketing
- The benefits and pitfalls of Virtual marketing against ‘physical’ marketing
- An introduction to CANVA and the production of up to 3 post images.
- Visual marketing aids such as bookmarks and roller posters displays.
- A 30 day social media content calendar
- A 30 day marketing plan tweaked to your circumstances.
We will during this meeting make a decision on how many copies of your book to have in stock – this would normally be 1 – 5 copies on a SOR basis and depend on a couple of factors including ease of availabilty, book format ( paperback vs Hardback) and price (RRP)
While we cannot promise you immediate huge sales – we will give you the tools to go away and promote your book efficiently and effictively.
